A new study in the USA reveals that pregnant women do not achieve the necessary amount of exercise. Researchers at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, found that only 23% of pregnant women have the amount of exercise recommended by health authorities and private health groups.

State organizations recommend pregnant women to at least 30 minutes of exercise during pregnancy, or 150 minutes of moderate aerobic exercise weekly.

The study shows that women who exercise regularly during pregnancy have better birth, reduces the chances of developing diabetes, hypertension and depression.
