Nutrition in children – In the fight for child obesity prevention, our children should be taught about nutrition. Parents know that the day would come when their child will “leave the nest,” so it will be wise to teach all there is to know about nutrition.
This will give children a foundation and basic knowledge about what is good for their body and what will work for them to maintain their body. With all the television ads targeting children, makes it imperative to teach children about nutrition before they ask for junk food from the ad. The advertising industry preys on children love junk food. This is partly what makes them in business.
The kids watching Saturday morning cartoons are inundated with food ads. Most of the ads that are advertising sugary cereals and fruit and a new and improved candy and cookies. Oh yes, the media know when to infiltrate the mind of your child. They know all the kids will be watching their favorite Saturday morning cartoons.
