Alternative medicine and children
Attach any type of alternative treatment to have been completely unreasonable pediatrics thirty or fifty years ago. However, conventional medicine has evolved in such a way that has been recognizing the benefits of alternative therapies in the different branches of application, and pediatrics is no exception.
It that some alternative therapies have proven effective to the extent that today 30% of healthy children used to them, while 50% of children with chronic illnesses circulating in the same way. “There is enormous room for complementary and alternative medicine in pediatrics,” says Dolores Mendelow, professor of pediatrics at the School of Medicine, University of Michigan.

Alternative Therapies: Chiropractic
Chiropractic seeks to restore health through the manipulation of certain organs, especially the spine. It is a therapeutic system based on the theory that diseases are caused by a disturbance in the innervation of tissues, that this sick, its cure can be obtained by manipulating the body’s structures, especially of the spine.
The main indications of chiropractic are the symptoms of so-called Barré syndrome, headache, dizziness, ringing in the ears, pain in the cervical, thoracic and lumbar neuritis and all bone problems, joint and muscle.
