We are only beginning a new year and although most of us comes from a short vacation (or we are still enjoying), it is difficult to disconnect and forget the stress. Stress is something most of us experience, or have ever felt, basically it’s a natural reaction of a psychiatric condition. When we feel overwhelmed or have problems, it is difficult to handle stress.
One of the problems we feel when we are stressed is that, generally, our food is impaired. What increases our stress levels and creates other problems. There are several studies showing that stress and diet are linked, good nutrition is essential to maintain our physical and mental health.
That’s why we look at some tips for good food even when we are feeling that “we can not anymore.”
- Many stressed people skip breakfast, the day begins even eating almonds and milk, this will give you energy. You can help a multivitamin.
- Try not to forget about lunch, but even if you have time try to take you two minutes to eat some fruit.
- Avoid eating dinner late and heavy. During the weekends it’s rest and eat light.
- Avoid drinking too many drinks like tea, soft drinks and caffeinated beverages.
- Avoid fried foods. Do not consume alcohol.
- If you feel bad you can eat a banana, it serves as a good antacid. Pedes also try natural herbs that are good to regulate stress.
A good “antidote” against stress is regular exercise, physical activity relaxes you.
